The Mighty Monarch

So interesting news. Design the Skyline won’t be playing this show because their van broke down on their way here. Lol so that is a bust for sure. The “last” band is now playing, Amyst. Cool name I guess lol. Our set went sweet lol our drummers cymbal fell off during a song and my noise gate pedal was being dumb so I had a lot of feedback from my amp. Other than that we did great and what not. I was actually stoked to see DTS but shit happens I guess lol overall it was a good day for sure. We had lots of fun.

Hey again. Well we are all packed up and ready to go. On the road on our way to Kalkaska for the show. I got all dressed up in a tie and sweater vest lol it’s a little hot. The show is now outside so that’s cool. I’m pretty excited to play this show. We are almost passed the turtle creek casino which means we are like half way there. It’s not that far from TC. Hello there. I decided to make some update entries which will revolve around today’s events. Now bear with me, out where the show is there is no 3G so updating this will be slower but I will still manage. I’m sure all my followers will be biting their nails for my next post anyway lol /sarcasm.

Alright so, right now it’s like 11am and I’m laying next to my lady, while she’s sleeping, as I will be meeting the band at my place in about 2.5 hours. From there we are going to secure a trailer for our equipment and load up. We haven’t practiced as a band in about a week or maybe more lol but we are tight anyway so I’m not worried. I’ll go over all my guitar parts before the show like always. Oh yeah, I definitely want to take pictures today as well and upload them here too so look out for that. The waiting game is the best so I will be here in bed for a few more hours lol then you can look out for my next update!

So last night. Bill Nye the Science Guy came to me in my dreams and gave me a haircut lol it was so awesome!

On this day one week from now my band is playing with Design the Skyline. The promoters of the show decided that my band deserves to play with a signed band and insisted we play it. We accepted because we love playing shows. None of us really got into design the skyline and are quite baffled how they even got signed. Victory records must of seen their potential but at first we didn’t. This is where myself and my drummer Kyle branch off from the rest of the band. After finally hearing DTS’s first full length album through Victory, we saw the potential. The album isn’t that bad. Too much synth but other than that the music itself isn’t that bad. I’ve only listened to their album like twice so I need more time for a full analyses lol.

This show should be fun. I’m looking forward to it, maybe I can talk with the band and they won’t be assholes.

I’m still laying in bed. It’s almost 4:30 pm. My life rocks lol

We are playing our show lol. On our way there now. We got everything together last minute and on the road lol. We are all stoked to play lol slap happy as fuck right now. I said lol a lot in that paragraph.

Not sure what is going to happen today. My band is scheduled for a show tonight but we have been back and forth about it. Money issues for one, two we don’t have enough vehicles to haul all our equipment unless we rent a trailer or something but again money issues. Our friends who are in another band still aren’t sure if they are scheduled for that show or else we could ride with them lol. It’s a huge cluster fuck right now. My phone will be getting blown up by my band today for sure. I would love to play but if we can’t I won’t be butt hurt about it. The show starts at 8ish I believe and is about a 2 1/2 hour drive here from traverse city. I’m sure my readers are excited to keep up with this but I will let you know anyway what happens lol.
